The Paterspand in Turnhout carries its history with pride—but today, it lives on in a new form. Since 2020, Triginta has owned this unique site, where the deconsecrated church, the monastery, and its ancillary buildings have been re-purposed into offices and an event venue. The neo-Gothic style and serene atmosphere remain—but their purpose has evolved.

Built in 1899, the site features an authentic green monastery garden and a chapel that continues to catch the eye. Its U-shaped layout encloses a central courtyard: once open, now covered by a striking glass-and-steel structure that seamlessly connects old and new.

Today, the Paterspand is full of life. Interoffices and Workero have brought new energy to the site, offering office and co-working spaces around the patio and on the ground floor. The restored chapel and multifunctional rooms? Ideal for receptions, conferences, and seminars.

But standing still is not part of the plan. A permit application is currently underway. In the garden, developer Imoya is planning a residential project, while, next to the monastery, a new services building will include B&B suites.
