The acquisition of Susterburcht in July 2021 marked a milestone for Triginta: our first step across the Dutch border. The site originally housed Hotel Roosterhoeve, a well-known hospitality venue in the region. Located in a strategic spot on the edge of the village of Roosteren, it provided accommodation for travellers and visitors seeking peace and relaxation in the countryside of Limburg.

After the acquisition, the site underwent a partial re-purposing in 2022 and was partly redeveloped into a residential care complex for people with support needs. Here, residents can live independently, while benefiting from on-site support services. The transformation resulted in 26 care studios, 7 assisted-living apartments, 2 respite care rooms, and several communal spaces and facilities. The complex was completed in July 2022, and all units have been fully let ever since.

The operation of the complex is managed by Focus on Impact, in collaboration with Zorg&Co BV, under a 20-year lease agreement. But Susterburcht is more than a care facility—it’s a place where people come together. Thanks to the integrated support model, residents can continue to live independently for as long as possible, with a strong focus on quality of life. Because feeling at home is about more than just a roof over your head—it’s about how you live.
